ok kids, gather round and let aunt T (or "my taylor" as my niece calls me) tell you about the greatest invention to ever come into her life.... CRICUT!!
i'll start from the beginning. i'm an avid scrapbooker and have been since high school. i don't claim to be the best, have the greatest tools or the most creative ideas, but i do love it. well i had always heard of this magic "scrapbook machine" that will make you want to throw away everything you've ever spent money on and replace it with cricut. and i'll have to say, the rumors are true.
on "Black Friday" they went on sale (they usually sell for upwards of 200 or 300 bucks) so my mom and i visited four stores, price compared, showed coupons and even made the manager go look in the back and we both walked away with brand new cricuts for only $89 a piece. such a STEAL!
so what does it do and why is it so special? well let me tell (or show) you.
you start by loading a cartridge. some are all birthday themed, some just have different fonts, etc. the one i'm using for this example is called "Life's a Beach".
you then put your paper (or foam or other type of cutting material) on the cutting mat and slide it in the machine.
each box comes with a keypad and a booklet so you can pick what you'd like to cut out.
you push the "cut" button and like magic it makes your design!
you then pull the leftover paper off the mat...
and use the tools to remove your design
then you glue it down...
and you have a lovely little project made easy!
i understand more than half of you don't care anything about this... but there may be a person or two who will go out and buy one of these (or ask to borrow mine... and by the way, the answer is yes!)
i will be referring to he cricut quite a bit, so now you know what i'm talking about! and now i'm on my way to a cricut date with Hayley!
